Though I thought the opening ceremony a marvel, in a free China, really Monkey should have begun and ended it, atop his cloud, and simply "breathed" alight the cauldron after plucking and blowing on one of his chest hairs.
And then lettering, in fire, beneath the cauldron, stating in Chinese, "The Nature of Monkey is IRREPRESSIBLE!".
